The 18-year-old Rounak Chauhan jumped 31 places up to number 65th in the latest BWF rankings. Rounak had impressive performances in the Super 300 Macau and Super 300 USA Open 2026.

The 18-year-old Rounak Chauhan jumped 31 places up to number 65th in the latest BWF rankings. Rounak had impressive performances in the Super 300 Macau and Super 300 USA Open 2026. 

Rounak made it into the main draw of the Macau Open 2026. He registered an impressive win over Wu Z-y of Chinese Taipei in three games with an 18-21, 21-15, 21-19 victory to move into round 2. He looked out of touch during the second game against Hu Za of China, losing in two straight games by 13-21, 17-21. 

Performance of Rounak Chauhan in Super 300 US Open 

He made it into the main draw, winning 2 out of the qualifying matches. In the main draw, Rounak Chauhan started his journey with a straight-game win over S. Subramanian. It was a closely fought affair as both players fought for each point before Rounak won the first game by 23-21. The second game saw Rounak producing a dominating performance, winning it easily with a 21-16 scoreline. Rounak Chauhan stunned the top-seed and world number 6 Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in two straight games. 

Rounak produced a dominating performance in the 1st game, putting Chou under pressure and winning with a 21-17 scoreline. It was a closely fought affair as Rounak was behind before making a stunning comeback to win by 26-24 to move into the quarterfinals. Rounak then got rid of the 37-year-old Misha Zilberman of Isreal. It was a closely fought affair in the 1st game, with both players fighting for each point before Rounak held his nerve to win by 23-21. The Indian displayed domination right from the word go, putting Misha under pressure and winning with a 21-11 scoreline and entering into the Semi-finals. 

The Indian struggled in the semi-finals against 8th-seed Su Li Yang of Chinese Taipei. Rounak looked out of sorts in the 1st game before putting on a spirited comeback in the later stages at 17-17 before losing with 17-21 scoreline. The second game saw Rounak showing his class once again after struggling in the initial stages. Despite making a stunning comeback to level the scores at 19-19, Rounak suffered 19-21 scoreline to be knocked out.

Before the Macau Open 2026, Rounak Chahuan was at number 96. Rounak produced lovely performances in the next two tournaments and climbed to number 65 in BWF rankings. 

Rounak Chauhan is currently at number 60 in the BWF World Tour finals race. After reaching the semi-finals of the US Open 2026, Rounak moved 14 places up. 

Lakshya Sen is currently the leading men’s shuttler in the rankings. He has been struggling for form recently. He is currently at number 14, while Ayush Shetty is second among the best at the number 23 spot in the latest badminton rankings.

Sen is currently third in the BWF World Tour finals race. Kidambi Srikanth moved to 17th after reaching the finals of the US Open 2026. In the women’s section category, PV Sindhu is currently the highest at number 10. Sindhu did well in the previous tournaments and would be looking to showcase her domination. 

Sindhu slips down 2 places to number 12 in the BWF World Tour finals rankings. 

Devika Sihag moved to her career-best ranking of 31st after reaching the semi-finals of the Super 300 US Open 2026. Sihag had a dream run in the Super 300 US Open. Sihag climbed up to 34th in the BWF World Tour Finals rankings after reaching the semi-finals of the Super 300 US Open 2026. 

She started her journey with a straight-game win over I. Castilo of Austria. Devika won by 21-14, 21-14. It was a good performance by Sihag, who looked impressive in the second round, defeating Tonr Saheong of Thailand in two straight games by 21-17 and 21-19. 

The sixth seed, Devika Sihag then stunned R. Gunji in two tight games by 22-20, 21-19. Sihag performed brilliantly with a lovely performance as both players fought for each point right till the end.

Sihag then went down to 2nd seeded Line Christophen of Denmark in three games. The Indian won the first game by 21-15 before Line won the next two games by 11-21 and 15-21. Sihag would be looking to continue go up the rankings when she plays in the Super 300 Canada Open 2026, which started yesterday. 

Unnati Hooda is at number 24th spot in the latest BWF rankings among the women. She is the second-highest Indian women's player during the rankings. Hooda is currently 37th in the BWF World Tour Finals rankings. 

Satwik/Chirag Shetty is currently at the 4th spot in the rankings. Satwik withdrew from the 2nd round match against a Malaysian during the Singapore Open and retired hurt. The top-seed Indian pair is currently at 11th in BWF World Tour finals rankings.
