Bautista Capurro gets a shot away, but Mohith HS is alert once again and makes the save to keep Argentina from extending their lead. 

Two goals for Argentina in the third quarter and none for India. 

India now face a steep climb in the final 15 minutes. They need a huge turnaround if they are to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

A costly error from India in midfield gives Argentina another opportunity. 

A poor pass from Yashdeep Siwach is intercepted, and Argentina quickly move into the circle. The resulting shot hits Sumit's foot, leaving the umpire with little choice but to award a penalty stroke. 

No mistake from the spot as Tomás Domene calmly converts to put Argentina further ahead.

India call for a referral, believing an Argentine defender had blocked movement. 

The decision goes against India, however, and they lose their referral. Argentina are awarded a free hit as another opportunity slips away.

The Argentine forward produces a superbly executed reverse shot, firing it past Mohith HS to extend Argentina's lead.

Domene steps up for the penalty corner, but Argentina's attack breaks down and they call for a referral.

The referral is made after an Argentina player believes an Indian defender had taken his mask off during the play. However, that is not a referable decision, and the umpire sticks with the original call. 

Argentina lose their referral, with the players surrounding the umpire in protest.

Just 34 seconds into the second half and India concede a penalty corner. 

An unfortunate contact from Sumit is enough for the umpire to award Argentina the PC. A nervy start to the final 30 minutes for India.

India need to score three more goals to keep their semi-final hopes alive. 

And the equation gets tougher with every Argentina goal. For every goal Argentina add, India will need one more of their own. 

Even if India manage to get the required result tonight, their semi-final fate will ultimately be decided by the next match between the Netherlands and England. 

A much slower second quarter compared to the frantic opening 15 minutes. 

India, however, have shown the right intent and looked more comfortable in possession as the half progressed. Now they need to turn that intent into goals in the second half.

India are looking more comfortable in possession now, moving the ball around with greater freedom and control. 

Just two minutes remain in the second quarter, but India need to turn this control into goals. They still trail Argentina 2-1.

Argentina's Della Torre stumbles and loses possession just outside the top of the circle, giving India a chance to launch a counter. 

India have plenty of space to work with as they move up the pitch, but the passing breaks down once they cross the halfway line. 

Another promising opportunity slips away as India give the ball back to Argentina.

Four minutes into Q2, India put together a promising move inside the circle. 

Hardik Singh plays a good pass into Harmanpreet Singh, but the India captain cannot bring it under control. The ball runs away and Argentina win the restart. 

A good opportunity goes begging for India. 

India almost concede another chance right before the hooter. 

Amit Rohidas fails to control a bouncing aerial, allowing an Argentina forward to pick up the loose ball and race into the circle. He gets into a one-on-one situation, but the hooter goes before he can finish the move properly.

Argentina threaten again inside the circle, but Mohith HS is alert to the danger and makes another important save to keep India within one goal. 

India respond by turning up the pressure, pushing higher and going into a full press as the first quarter comes to an end. 

ARG 2-1 IND 

Sukhjeet Singh collects the ball inside the circle, turns and fires a powerful strike towards goal. He gives everything to the shot and takes a tumble immediately afterwards, but it is worth it. 

Argentina goalkeeper Santiago has no answer as India pull one back at 1-2. 

ARG 2-0 IND 

Argentina have made it 2-0, and this time it is Della Torre who steps up for the penalty corner. 

A low drag flick flies past Mohith HS, with the India goalkeeper and the post defender unable to get a touch on it. India are now facing a serious uphill battle.

A rookie error from Yashdeep Siwach gives Argentina another penalty corner. 

The Argentine players immediately question why it has been awarded as a penalty corner rather than a stroke, but the umpire sticks with the PC decision for now. 

India need to be far more disciplined inside their own circle.

Jarmanpreet Singh gives away a penalty corner after a poor tackle as Argentina threaten to extend their early lead. 

The dreaded Tomás Domene steps up to take the drag flick, but Mohith HS stands tall this time, making the save to keep India within touching distance.

Joaquin Toscani slots it past Mohith HS after Argentina played an aerial pass from midfield into the circle. India were caught scrambling, with no clear marking as the ball made its way into the D. 

The crowd has barely settled in, and Argentina already have the crucial lead India desperately needed to avoid.

India get the crucial Pool E clash against Argentina underway at the Wagener Stadium. With their semi-final hopes hanging by a thread, Harmanpreet Singh and his side know they need a big performance tonight.

Now, India face the very team that kept their semifinal dream alive. And they need to beat them convincingly.
