Top ranked Indian paddler Sathiyan Gnanasekaran defeats Robles from Spain in straight games 12-10,11-4,11-4 to make it to the next round where he will be up against Falck from Sweden

Achanta Sharath Kamal who had a phenomenal run till Semis only to lose a close one there last week has started this tournament in a convincing fashion defeating French Lebesson 11-5,9-11,11-6,11-9

Manika Batra defeats higher Ranked Chinese Tianyi Qian in a close five setter. She defeated the WR34 Qian 11-9,4-11,11-9,6-11,11-9 to make her way into Round of 32

Manika will next meet German Xiaona Shan who had received a bye in the Rd1, which will be there first meeting

Earlier in the day Sharath Kamal and Manav Thakkar lost in the first round itself after winning the first game 11-6. They eventually lost to Robles and Ionescu 11-6,6-11,7-11,5-11

The second indian pair Sanil and Amalraj who had come through the qualifying found it difficult against the Germans and they lost 3-11,8-11,8-11
