India will compete in boxing, gymnastics, swimming, bowls and wheelchair basketball on Day 3 of the Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Commonwealth Games 2026 enters its third day of competition with Indian athletes set for another packed schedule across multiple disciplines.

Following an encouraging start to the campaign that saw the country open its medal account in para powerlifting, Saturday promises another exciting day featuring athletes in artistic gymnastics, boxing, swimming, bowls, and 3x3 wheelchair basketball. Several Indian medal hopefuls will begin or continue their campaigns, while swimmers Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aryan Nehra will look to qualify for the men's 400m freestyle final later in the evening. National champion Sachin Siwach will also begin his boxing journey, and the women's artistic gymnastics team will take to the floor in the qualification round.

Here's a closer look at India's Day 3 schedule at the Commonwealth Games.

India's artistic gymnastics team will be among the biggest attractions of the day as Pranati Nayak, Nishka Agarwal, Eshitaa Rewale, and Protistha Samanta compete in the Women's Team Final and Individual Qualification beginning at 8:15 PM IST.

The qualification serves a dual purpose, determining both the team standings and the individual finalists across apparatus events. Leading the Indian challenge is Pranati Nayak, one of the country's most experienced artistic gymnasts. A Commonwealth Games bronze medallist and multiple-time national champion, Pranati will once again shoulder expectations as India looks to make a positive impression against some of the strongest gymnastics nations in the Commonwealth.

For Nishka Agarwal, Eshitaa Rewale and Protistha Samanta, the event presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to the team's overall performance.

India's lawn bowls campaign also continues on Saturday with two important sectional matches. The women's pair of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh will face Tonga's Paris Baker and Milika Nathan in a Section B encounter at 3:50 PM IST. The experienced Indian duo has emerged as one of the country's strongest combinations in recent years and will aim to build momentum during the group stage.

Later in the evening, Putul Sonowal returns to action in the men's singles Section D competition. Sonowal will take on Malaysia's Izzat Dzulkeple at 7:30 PM IST in another crucial league encounter. With every sectional match playing a significant role in qualification, consistency will be vital as India looks to progress deeper into the competition.

One of India's brightest young boxing prospects, Sachin Siwach, will begin his Commonwealth Games journey in the men's 60kg preliminary round. The reigning national champion will face Canada's Keoma Al-Ahmadieh in the Round of 32, with the bout scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM IST. India has traditionally enjoyed strong success in boxing at the Commonwealth Games, and Sachin will be hoping to continue that legacy.

Known for his sharp footwork, quick combinations and tactical discipline, the Indian enters the competition with high expectations. A victory would move him into the next round and bring him a step closer to the medal stages.

Swimming will provide one of India's busiest schedules on Day 3. The men's 400m freestyle heats begin from 4:19 PM IST, with two Indians competing in separate heats.

Dhakshan Shashikumar will swim in Heat 3, while Aryan Nehra lines up in Heat 4. Both swimmers will aim to post fast enough times to qualify for the evening's medal race. Should either—or both—advance, they will return for the men's 400m freestyle final at 11:37 PM IST, where Commonwealth medals will be on offer.

Aryan Nehra has steadily established himself as one of India's leading middle-distance freestyle swimmers, while Dhakshan Shashikumar continues to make impressive progress on the national and international circuit. Reaching the final would represent another encouraging step for Indian swimming.

India's women's 3x3 wheelchair basketball team will also be in action on Saturday. The quartet of Laxmi Rayannavar, Ritu Irengbam, Reena Gupta, and Minakshi Jadhav will take on Wales in a Pool B fixture beginning at 4:35 PM IST. The event continues to grow in stature internationally, providing Indian athletes with valuable exposure against experienced opponents from across the Commonwealth.

Strong performances during the group stage will be crucial as teams battle for qualification to the knockout rounds.

Day 3 represents another important chapter in India's Commonwealth Games campaign. Across five sports, athletes will not only be chasing victories but also aiming to build momentum that could shape the remainder of their tournaments. The gymnastics team begins its quest for individual and team qualification, while the bowlers continue their sectional matches with hopes of advancing into the knockout rounds.

In boxing, Sachin Siwach starts what India hopes will be a deep run in one of its traditionally strongest sports. Meanwhile, the swimming pool could witness India's first finalists in the men's 400m freestyle if Aryan Nehra and Dhakshan Shashikumar successfully navigate the heats.

The women's wheelchair basketball team also has an opportunity to strengthen its position in Pool B with a positive performance against Wales.

With qualification, knockout progression and medal opportunities all on the agenda, Saturday promises to be another action-packed day for Indian fans. As the Commonwealth Games gather momentum in Glasgow, India's athletes will once again look to deliver performances that keep the nation firmly in contention across multiple disciplines and add to the encouraging start already made in the opening days of the competition.
