3:50pm | As we wait for the first Indian event to start in an hour time, lets take you through the rules of the sport
What is an End?
An end is one complete round where both players/teams deliver all of their bowls. Players bowl alternately. Once everyone has delivered all bowls, the end is complete. Players then switch directions for the next end.
In Singles: 1 player vs 1 player with 4 bowls per player, which means a Total of 8 bowls in an end
How are Points Scored? (Most Important)
After every end: Find the closest bowl to the Jack. That team wins in the end. Count every bowl from that team that is closer to the Jack than the opponent's nearest bowl. That count equals the points scored for that end.
For example, in Singles, one set consists of 7 ends.
The match is best of 3 sets.

Win Set 1 + Set 2 = Match won (2-0) If each player/team wins one set: Play a 1-End Tiebreak (Shootout)
A higher score in that single end wins the match.
3:45pm: Boxing at the Commonwealth Games will feature 201 boxers from 43 nations battling it out for a gold medal. 🥇
3:35pm : In case you missed this, Indian team has already secured the first medal at the CWG 2026.
Lovlina Borgohain confirmed the first medal for India in boxing 🥊. She got a bye in the QF, hence she is assured of a medal at the Commonwealth Games
