She entered the ISSF World Cup after dominating the National Selection Trials in New Delhi, where she topped the women's 10m air pistol Trial 2 final with a score of 243.1. Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker, competing under Ranking Points Only (RPO) status, recorded the highest qualification score among the Indian shooters with 582-12x. Although she was not eligible for the final because of her RPO status, her performance underlined her excellent form.
Meanwhile, Esha Singh narrowly missed qualification after finishing 13th with 577-22x, while Lakshita, also competing under RPO status, registered a score of 572-14x.
The performances reflect the remarkable depth that India currently possesses in women's pistol shooting, with multiple athletes capable of producing world-class scores.
