World Padel League Season 4 to Reach Fans Across 200+ Countries as Global Broadcast Network Expands

The World Padel League (WPL) Season 4 is set to take the sport to an even wider global audience, with the Mumbai-based competition reaching fans across more than 200 countries through an expanding network of television and digital broadcast partners.
The fourth season of the franchise-based league will take place from August 12 to 16 at DOME, SVP Stadium, Mumbai, bringing 36 international padel players together across six franchises. With padel continuing to expand its global footprint, the World Padel League is using its latest season to strengthen its position as an international sporting property. For fans in India, all the action will be available live on JioHotstar and Star Sports 3.
The extensive broadcast network will take WPL Season 4 to audiences across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas, allowing fans outside India to follow the competition as the six franchises battle for the title.
The league has assembled a broad network of regional broadcasters and digital platforms for its fourth season. In South Asia, Sri Lanka Telecom (PEO TV) will carry the competition in Sri Lanka, while Action Sports will reach audiences in Nepal and Tapmad will serve viewers in Bangladesh.
In the Middle East and North Africa, Dubai Media will provide coverage, while SPORT TV remains the exclusive broadcaster for Portugal. The league's international reach is further strengthened by DAZN, which will distribute WPL across multiple territories spanning Europe, Central Asia, Asia-Pacific, South America and Central America.
Meanwhile, Triller TV/AfricaXP and AfricaXP will extend the league’s reach across Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Together, these broadcast and digital partnerships will make Season 4 the most expansive global broadcast edition of the World Padel League so far. For a sport that has witnessed rapid growth across multiple markets, the ability to distribute live competition internationally is increasingly important. WPL’s broadcast strategy gives international fans access to the league while also helping introduce the franchise format and its players to new audiences.
Six franchises, 36 international players
Season 4 will feature 36 top international padel players representing six franchises. The participating teams are Vedanta Leopards, Khan Tigers, Aussie Mavericks Jaguars, Hubtown Panorama Panthers, Game Changers Lions and VB Realty Cheetahs. The league stage will begin on August 12, with the Aussie Mavericks Jaguars facing Vedanta Leopards at 4:00 PM, followed by VB Realty Cheetahs against Hubtown Panorama Panthers at 6:30 PM.
The second day will see Game Changers Lions take on Hubtown Panorama Panthers at 4:00 PM before Khan Tigers face Vedanta Leopards at 6:30 PM. On August 14, Khan Tigers will play Aussie Mavericks Jaguars at 4:00 PM, while Game Changers Lions will meet VB Realty Cheetahs at 6:30 PM. The knockout stage begins on August 15. The sixth-ranked team will face the fifth-ranked team in the Eliminator at 4:00 PM, with the winner then taking on the fourth-ranked team in the Qualifier at 6:30 PM.
The decisive day comes on August 16. The two semifinals are scheduled for 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM, followed by the final at 8:15 PM. The compact five-day schedule is designed to provide a concentrated run of high-level padel, culminating in the championship match on Sunday evening.
The decision to stage Season 4 in Mumbai further strengthens India's position within the league's growth story. WPL first debuted in the UAE before entering the Indian market in February 2025. Since then, the league has sought to build an audience around a combination of elite international players, franchise-based competition and fan-focused entertainment.
The league is licensed and managed by Iconik Sports and Events Ltd. and aims to contribute to the growth of padel by bringing high-level competition to new markets. Mumbai's hosting of Season 4 also comes at a time when padel is attracting increasing attention in India, with new courts, academies and recreational communities emerging across major cities. The global broadcast strategy complements that domestic growth by connecting the competition in Mumbai with audiences outside the country.
Fans can watch live or attend in Mumbai
For Indian viewers unable to attend the event, JioHotstar and Star Sports 3 will provide live coverage throughout the tournament. Fans who want to experience the action at the venue can purchase tickets through BookMyShow, with the competition offering an opportunity to watch some of the world's leading padel players live in Mumbai.
For WPL, Season 4 represents more than another edition of the competition. The combination of a 200-plus-country broadcast footprint, an international player field and a five-day franchise tournament gives the league an opportunity to establish padel further as a global spectator sport.
As the action begins in Mumbai on August 12, the World Padel League will be competing not only for a championship but also for a larger place in the rapidly evolving international padel landscape.
