Punjab FC Finish RFDL Japan Exposure Tour Unbeaten in Regulation Time Despite Shootout Defeat

Roundglass Punjab FC wrapped up an encouraging Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) Japan Exposure Tour 2026 with an unbeaten record in regulation time, narrowly losing 6-5 in a sudden-death penalty shootout to FC Baleine Shimonoseki after a dramatic 1-1 draw at Nogihama Park on Sunday.

While the result denied Punjab FC a perfect finish to the tour, the young side returned home with plenty of positives after registering convincing victories over Avispa Fukuoka U18 and Giravanz Kitakyushu earlier in the campaign. Across three matches, the Shers showcased their attacking quality, defensive organisation and ability to compete against technically accomplished Japanese opposition.
