The AM Green IGPL 2026 Season 2 returns in September with nine more events, including eight in India, as the Tour expands across UAE, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vizag and Pune.

The second half of the AM Green IGPL 2026 Season 2 is set to begin in September, with the Tour preparing to travel across new venues in India and the UAE after an international first half that took players to Africa and Morocco.

Nine events remain on the schedule, with eight set to be staged in India. The second half will begin at Al Hamra Golf Course in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, before the Tour returns to India for events in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vizag and Pune.

The AM Green IGPL Invitational 2026 presented by Vimtra Chennai Lions GC at Al Hamra Golf Course will be held from September 23 to 25, kicking off a packed run of tournaments that will take the Tour through to December. Two venues remain to be finalised for the events presented by Atri Mumbai Garudas GC and GolfKonnekt Bengaluru Stallions.

The expansion into new venues is part of the Tour’s larger objective of taking professional golf to different markets, creating fan engagement and giving players exposure to a variety of courses.

The first half of the AM Green IGPL 2026 Season 2 featured six events, five of them in Africa and one in India. The second half will have a distinctly domestic focus.

After the UAE opener, the Tour will move to Qutub Golf Course in Delhi from September 29 to October 1 for the event presented by RVR Delhi Blue Bulls GC. The Krishna Punjab Raptors GC will then host their event at Hyderabad Golf Course from October 6 to 8. The tour will move to Ahmedabad the following week, with Unico Gurugram Tuskers GC presenting their event at Kalhaar Blues and Green Golf Club from October 13 to 15.

After a short break, competition resumes in November. Green Fuels Vizag Dolphins GC will host their event at East Point Golf Club in Vizag from November 3 to 5. The following week, Phoenix Hyderabad Firebirds GC will present their event at Vooty Golf County in Hyderabad.

The Auro Goa Eagles GC event will then take place at The Poona Golf Club from November 17 to 19. The final two events, presented by Atri Mumbai Garudas GC and GolfKonnekt Bengaluru Stallions, will be staged from November 24 to 26 and December 1 to 3, respectively, with venues yet to be announced.

Franchises Involved in Venue Selection

According to AM Green IGPL CEO Uttam Singh Mundy, the selection of venues has been carried out after consultation with franchises and players. “We have been very particular about the choice of venues, and they have been done after consulting the franchises and the players,” Mundy said.

“We also want to promote the sport and build a fan base at these venues. Many of our players have played at these courses, and their recommendations have been taken into consideration.” The venue selection also reflects the franchise-based model that has added another dimension to the IGPL.

Each franchise has been involved in presenting an event and has played a role in choosing venues where it wants to build an association and engage local golf audiences. Vimtra Chennai Lions GC, for example, will begin the second half of the season at Al Hamra Golf Course in the UAE. The course has previously hosted European Tour Challenge Tour events.

The remaining franchise events will take the Tour across some of India’s established golfing centres. The expansion provides players with a different competitive environment at every stop while also allowing the league to build its presence across multiple regions.

The second half of the season is expected to feature a strong field of Indian professionals. The Tour already includes some of the biggest active names in Indian golf, including Gaganjeet Bhullar, Karandeep Kochhar, Pukhraj Singh Gill and Aman Raj. Indian golf icons Jeev Milkha Singh, Shiv Kapur, SSP Chawrasia and Gaurav Ghei are also part of the wider field.

The upcoming events will be further strengthened by the addition of successful professional Arjun Prasad and promising player Ravi Kumar. The current Order of Merit is led by Udayan Mane of Atri Mumbai Garudas GC. Gaganjeet Bhullar of Vimtra Chennai Lions GC is second, while Sachin Baisoya of Phoenix Hyderabad Firebirds GC occupies third place.

With nine events remaining, the Order of Merit race could still see significant changes. Udayan, Bhullar and Baisoya have all already demonstrated their ability to win on the Tour this season, setting up an interesting battle for the top positions in the remaining months.

International Exposure: A Key Part of IGPL Vision

The first half of the 2026 season had a strong international flavour. The AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic at Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort was an Asian Tour event, won by Sweden’s Charlie Lindh. The Morocco Rising Stars tournament at the same venue was jointly sanctioned by IGPL and the Asian Development Tour, with Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool taking the title.

The Tour then travelled to Congo, where India’s Aryan Roopa Anand emerged victorious. Indian golfers dominated the next three events. Udayan Mane won the Johannesburg event, Sachin Baisoya triumphed in Mauritius and Gaganjeet Bhullar claimed victory at the Chandigarh event. Mundy believes the partnership between the Asian Tour and IGPL has been important in providing players with international exposure.

“The partnership between Asian Tour and IGPL has become very strong,” he said. “We had a very successful first half with an Asian Tour event and an Asian Development Tour event in Morocco and a few in Africa in Mauritius, South Africa and Congo.”

The international events were not restricted to the men’s field. The Tour’s women players, including those who compete on the Ladies European Tour, also had the opportunity to experience courses in Mauritius and South Africa that host LET events.

The IGPL continues to stand out for its inclusive format. Men and women professionals compete alongside amateurs, with male and female professionals vying for prize money from the same pool. The introduction of 10 franchises has added another competitive layer through the Team Championships. That format brings individual and team interests together, ensuring that players are competing not only for their own position but also for their franchise.

As the second half begins, the AM Green IGPL will now shift from its international opening phase towards a major domestic push. With events scheduled across India and the UAE, new venues, strong professional fields and the franchise element adding to the competition, the final nine tournaments promise to shape the remainder of Season 2.

For the players at the top of the Order of Merit, every event will matter. For the Tour, the objective is broader: take golf to new venues, build a fan base and continue creating opportunities for Indian players to compete at home and gain exposure internationally.

The road to the conclusion of AM Green IGPL 2026 Season 2 begins again in Ras Al Khaimah on September 23.
