Indian women’s golf reached another historic milestone at the Dutch Ladies Open 2026, with Diksha Dagar, Avani Prashanth and Pranavi Urs all finishing inside the top five of a Ladies European Tour (LET) event.

The remarkable achievement marks the first time that three Indian golfers have secured top-five finishes at an LET tournament outside India, underlining the growing strength and consistency of Indian women’s golf on the international stage. Diksha Dagar and Avani Prashanth finished tied for third at eight-under-par, while Pranavi Urs ended the tournament tied for fifth at seven-under-par. Their collective performance not only showcased individual brilliance but also highlighted the increasing depth of talent emerging from India.

While Indian golfers have enjoyed success on the Ladies European Tour in recent years, having three players finish inside the top five at an overseas LET event is unprecedented. The only other occasion when three Indian women achieved top-five finishes at an LET tournament came at the Hero Women’s Indian Open 2025 in Gurugram. Replicating that feat on foreign soil makes this result even more significant, as it demonstrates the ability of Indian golfers to compete and excel against strong international fields away from home.

The Dutch Ladies Open performance is another indicator that India’s women golfers are becoming consistent contenders across the European circuit.

Diksha Dagar once again proved why she remains one of India’s most reliable performers on the Ladies European Tour. Finishing tied for third with a score of eight-under-par, she delivered another composed display featuring accurate ball-striking and steady putting throughout the week. The result also marks back-to-back top-10 finishes for Diksha after her strong showing at the Jabra Ladies Open in France, reflecting her consistency during the current European swing.

Known for her calm temperament under pressure, Diksha’s latest finish further strengthens her credentials as one of India’s leading international golfers.

Joining Diksha in tied third place was rising star Avani Prashanth, who also closed the tournament at eight-under-par. Avani has enjoyed an impressive run of form in recent weeks and, like Diksha, recorded back-to-back top-10 finishes following another encouraging performance at the Jabra Ladies Open.

Her continued ability to contend near the top of leaderboards against experienced professionals is a positive sign for Indian golf, with the youngster steadily establishing herself on the Ladies European Tour.

The Dutch Ladies Open result further reinforces her reputation as one of the brightest prospects in Indian women’s golf.

Completing the memorable Indian showing was Pranavi Urs, who finished tied for fifth at seven-under-par. Pranavi remained in contention throughout the tournament and produced another solid performance to secure a top-five finish alongside her compatriots. Her consistency across four rounds ensured India occupied three of the top five positions on the final leaderboard a rare feat in professional golf.

The result also highlights the depth of talent currently present in Indian women’s golf, with multiple players capable of challenging for honours on the international stage.

The performances of Diksha, Avani and Pranavi are part of a broader trend of Indian golfers making significant strides on the Ladies European Tour. In previous years, Indian success often depended on isolated standout performances from individual players. Now, multiple golfers are regularly competing for podium finishes and top-10 placements, suggesting a healthier competitive ecosystem and stronger pipeline of talent.

The fact that Diksha and Avani have now registered consecutive top-10 finishes across tournaments demonstrates growing consistency rather than one-off success.

The historic showing at the Dutch Ladies Open is likely to provide another boost to the visibility of women’s golf in India. Strong international results inspire young players, attract greater attention to the sport and validate the investments being made in player development.

Having three golfers simultaneously finish among the tournament’s top five also reflects the increasing confidence with which Indian players are approaching elite competition overseas.

As the Ladies European Tour season progresses, the performances of Diksha Dagar, Avani Prashanth and Pranavi Urs will encourage expectations that Indian golfers can not only challenge for titles but also become regular fixtures near the top of leaderboards.

Their achievement in the Netherlands is more than just a statistical milestone—it is another significant chapter in the rise of Indian women’s golf on the global stage and a testament to the growing depth of talent representing the country internationally.
