1:05am | Men's Heavyweight Para Powerlifting: Jhandu extends his lead after Round 2
Jhandu Kumar is putting together a remarkable performance. The Bihar lifter comfortably cleared 190kg on his second attempt. The successful lift takes him to 130.9 points, strengthening his hold on the top spot in Group B.
00:55am | Men's Heavyweight Para Powerlifting: Jhandu tops Group B after opening round
Jhandu Kumar made an excellent start to his campaign, successfully lifting 181kg on his opening attempt. The effort earned him 124.7 points, putting him comfortably at the top of the standings in the lighter-weight Group B after the first round.
00:50am | Swimming: Srihari Nataraj misses out on a place in the final
Srihari Nataraj's campaign comes to an end after he finishes seventh in his semifinal with a time of 25.29s, falling short of a spot in the Men's 50m Backstroke final. South Africa dominated the semifinals, with Pieter Coetze topping the field in 24.29s, followed by compatriot Ruard van Renen in 24.56s. England's Oliver Morgan advanced as the third-fastest qualifier with a time of 24.65s.
00:20am | Para Powerlifting: Oluwafemiayo shatters world record to win gold
Nigeria's Folashade Oluwafemiayo produced a sensational performance, breaking the world record on her way to the women's heavyweight gold medal with 134.8 points. Compatriot Rita Ferdinard secured the silver medal with 128.2 points, while Australia's Hani Watson claimed bronze with 111.5 points.
India's Kasthuri Rajamani was unable to register a valid score, finishing at the bottom of the standings.
00:15am | Para Swimming: Budigina finishes just outside the podium
R.V.V.B.K. Budigina came agonisingly close to a medal, finishing fourth in the Men's 100m Freestyle S13 Final with a time of 57.57s. Ali Imam placed seventh, clocking 1:03.73.
South Africa's Nathan Hendricks claimed the gold in 54.54s, while Stephen Clegg of Scotland took silver in 55.16s. England's Matthew Redfern secured bronze, also finishing in 55.16s.

What a finish from Putul Sonowal! Under immense pressure in the tiebreak, the Indian delivers a clutch final bowl to seal a 1-0 tiebreak victory and complete a memorable win. A contest that had everything ends with India emerging on top.
11:15pm | Lawn Bowls: Match heads to a tiebreak!
The Falkland Islands hold their nerve to claim the second set 8-6, ensuring the contest goes the distance. Putul Sonowal pushed hard throughout, but the decider will now be settled in a tiebreaker.
10:50pm | Lawn Bowls: Sonowal clinches the opening set
Putul Sonowal completes an impressive comeback to claim the first set 7-5. After a slow start, the Indian found his rhythm at the perfect time, stringing together a series of strong ends to take control of the contest.
10:35pm | Sonowal 3-2 Alexander (after third end, first set)
What a turnaround from Putul Sonowal! After conceding the opening two ends to trail 0-2, the Assam Police bowler produces a superb third end, placing three bowls closer to the jack than any of Alexander's. That impressive response flips the scoreboard in his favour, with Sonowal now leading 3-2.

Cecil Alexander makes the brighter start, picking up the opening end to move 1-0 ahead. The vastly experienced Falklands bowler, who also served as the team's manager at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, draws first blood.
9:10pm | Para Powerlifting: Nigeria claims gold and silver in Women's Lightweight. Esther Nworgu delivers Nigeria's first gold medal of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, topping the standings with 119.0 points. Compatriot Esther Oyema completes a dominant 1-2 finish with 115.5 points, while England's Olivia Broome takes the bronze on 106.6 points.
For India, Jaspreet Kaur finishes sixth with 96.4 points, while Suman Devi ends eighth after two unsuccessful attempts, finishing with 88.4 points.
8:40pm | India make it two wins from two in the Women's Pairs! South Africa can only manage a single shot on the final end, falling short as Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki seal a straight-sets 2-0 victory (6-4, 7-5) in their sectional clash.
8:28pm | South Africa edge ahead in a tense second set. After conceding the opening end, Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki responded brilliantly to take three shots on the second and move 3-1 in front. But the Proteas hit back immediately, collecting three shots on the third end to overturn the deficit and seize a 4-3 lead.
8:26pm | With Group B complete, attention now shifts to Group A, where Suman Devi gets her campaign underway. She makes a confident start by successfully lifting 100kg on her opening attempt, earning 88.4 points.
8:20pm | Jaspreet Kaur signs off with a successful 100kg lift! She clears her final attempt in style, improving her total to 96.4 points and concluding a strong outing in Group B.
8:04pm | Jaspreet Kaur raises the bar to 99kg for her second attempt, looking to strengthen her lead before the stronger contenders in Group A take the stage. However, the lift is ruled unsuccessful, with the referees showing two red lights and one white. Her best successful lift remains 95kg, keeping her at the top of the Group B standings with 91.6 points.
8:00pm | South Africa have responded well after conceding three shots on the opening end. Thabelo Muvhango and Jacqui Janse van Rensburg have claimed the next two ends by a single shot each, trimming India's advantage to just one. After three ends of the opening set, Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki lead 3-2, with the contest finely poised heading into the remaining ends.
7:56pm | The Indians have now completed their campaign and must wait for the gymnasts from England, Australia, Canada, Scotland, Cyprus and Wales—all competing in the third subdivision to determine whether Tapan and Yogeshwar have done enough to secure places in the all-around final.
7:50pm | India also sits at the top of the team standings with a combined score of 208.550. However, with several traditional powerhouses yet to compete, the final team rankings and medal positions will only be confirmed after the third subdivision concludes.
7:45pm | At the end of the first two subdivisions, Tapan Mohanty and Yogeshwar Singh occupy third and fourth respectively in the all-around standings with scores of 71.700 and 71.400. Tapeswaranath Das is currently 11th with 61.000.
7:40pm | India make the perfect start against South Africa! Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki take control from the opening end, picking up three shots to move into a 3-0 lead in the first set. It's an ideal beginning with six ends still to be played.
7:30pm | The all-important Women's pair match is underway and India plays South Africa, India's experienced pair of Pinki Singh and Rupa Rani Tirkey are participating.
7:25pm | Right then we move to para-powerlifting, and we have Jaspreet & Suman competing from India
The action now shifts to the women's lightweight category, where Jaspreet Kaur will represent India in Group B. She is scheduled to lift last among the six competitors and has opted for 98kg on her opening attempt the highest starting weight in the group. Suman is ni Group A
7:20pm | India's gymnasts have wrapped up their routines on the Parallel Bars, with Yogeshwar Singh posting the best score among the trio. He earns 12.750, made up of 4.100 in Difficulty and 8.650 in Execution.
Tapan Mohanty is close behind with 12.700 (4.100 Difficulty, 8.600 Execution), while Tapeswaranath Das scores 10.000, receiving 4.100 for Difficulty and 5.900 for Execution.

6:56pm | Ashok Kumar Malik goes for a personal best!
The Indian attempts 205 kg on his final lift but is unable to complete it successfully. Nevertheless, his earlier 200kg effort stands as a new personal best, capping off an impressive performance as he finishes fourth in the men's lightweight final.

Looking to improve his standing with a 179 kg personal-best lift, Parmjeet is once again shown three red lights by the referees, meaning the attempt is ruled unsuccessful. He ends the competition in seventh place.
6:54pm | Two rounds are complete in the men's lightweight para powerlifting final, and the battle for the podium couldn't be any closer. Mark Swan of England and Roland Ezuruike of Nigeria are tied at the top with 153.9 points each, while Bonnie Gustin of Malaysia is just behind on 153.5 points.
India's Ashok has moved into fourth place with 143.8 points, keeping himself firmly in medal contention. Parmjeet Kumar remains seventh on 135.6 points.
6:52pm | Gymnastics: Yogeshwar Singh and Tapeswaranath Das have both completed their two vaults in the qualification round, hoping to book their places in the individual vault final.
Yogeshwar finishes with an average score of 12.600 across his two attempts, while Tapeswaranath records an average of 12.075. The scores are now in—will they be enough to earn a spot in the final?
6:50pm | At the end of the opening round in the men's lightweight Para Powerlifting final, Roland Ezuruike of Nigeria leads the standings with 148.1 points, followed closely by Mark Swan of England on 147.0 and Bonnie Gustin of Malaysia on 146.5.
India's Ashok occupies fifth place with 140.2 points, while Parmjeet Kumar sits sixth on 135.6 points after their opening successful lifts.
6:45pm | In para powerlifting, the final standings are determined using a points system that factors in both the athlete's body weight and the weight successfully lifted, ensuring a level playing field across different bodyweight categories.
6:35pm | India's Parmjeet Kumar will open his campaign with an attempt at 180kg, while Ashok, competing in the heavier bodyweight category (66.4kg compared to Parmjeet's 58.2kg), has opted for a massive 200kg on his first lift.
6:25pm | So, first Medal Event for India is live now. India's Ashok and Parmjeet are now on the platform for the men's lightweight final.
6:10pm | India's ring routines begin with Tapan Mohanty, who posts a strong 12.100 (4.100 Difficulty, 8.000 Execution). Yogeshwar Singh isn't far behind, collecting 11.500 after scoring 3.400 for Difficulty and 8.100 for Execution. Swathish Kaitheri Puthalath produces India's standout routine of the rotation, earning 12.450 with a 4.600 Difficulty score and 7.850 for Execution.
Tapeswaranath Das rounds things off with 11.100, backed by 2.800 in Difficulty and 8.300 in Execution.
5:50pm | Swathish Kaitheri Puthalath, the first gymnast from Kerala to represent India at the Commonwealth Games. Swathish delivers a confident routine on the pommel horse and is rewarded with 10.300, including 3.600 in difficulty and 6.700 in Execution.
Tapeswaranath Das suffers an early dismount during his routine, forcing him to remount and repeat the skill. Despite the setback, he completes his performance with a score of 7.200 (2.600 Difficulty, 4.600 Execution).
5:45pm | Yogeshwar Singh completes a composed routine but has a slightly awkward landing on the dismount. He receives a total of 11.100, with 4.000 for Difficulty and 7.100 for Execution.
Tapan Mohanty is next and posts a comparatively lower score on the apparatus. He finishes with 9.850, made up of 2.700 in Difficulty and 7.150 in Execution.
5:15pm | All three Indians have completed their floor exercise routines. Tapan Mohanty leads the way for India with a score of 12.150, comprising 4.700 in Difficulty and 7.450 in Execution. Yogeshwar Singh follows with 10.600 (5.000 difficulty, 6.100 execution), with a 0.5-point penalty bringing down his total.
Tapeswaranath Das rounds off India's performances with 9.500, earning 4.600 for Difficulty and 4.900 for Execution.
4:40pm | Men’s Team Final and Individual Qualification - Subdivision 2 - Tapeswaranath, Swathish, Tapan, Yogeshwar.
4:27pm | Next up will be the Indian Men's Gymnastics Team, where, after the end of Subdivision 1, an 18-year-old Jovi Loh from SGP currently leads in all-around with a score of 72.400. In the Subdivision 1 only two teams wee in fray but Malaysia didn't finish; hence, Singapore was the only team to have a score and they currently lead with 151.950
4:20pm | Five swimmers will represent the nation on one of the biggest multi-sport stages.

4:15pm | Srihari Nataraj is into the M 50m backstroke semis, finishing 5th in his heat with a time of 25.52s. The semis are tonight. However, it's going to be really challenging to go to the final.
Top 8 at 25.16, so we will need an NR to get into Finals. With Srihari you never know; maybe, just maybe, he is up for it
4:00pm | Judoka Tulika Maan suspended for whereabouts failure, withdrawn from CWG.
Maan had won silver in the +78 kg category in the 2022 edition, and she was a strong medal prospect in Glasgow as well. She is Ruled Out Of CWG By NADA Over Whereabouts Failures
3:50pm | Next up will be Srihari Nataraj in the 50m Backstroke H4, an event that is very close to his heart. The Indian national record stands at 25.18. Can he better it today?
3:45pm | So, Budigina actually finished third with 57.10, and Ali Imam was eighth with 1:05.32. It will be interesting to see if Budigina can actually replicate this performance in the evening and jump onto the podium.
3:40pm | Alright then, Budigina and Imam Ali will compete in the men’s 100m freestyle S13 heats. Given there is only one heat, we do expect all the swimmers to go in to the finals straight. Watch out for the 2nd and 8th lanes.
3:30pm | The first event of Indian interest is para swimming, where India will have two swimmers in action.
