03:00am | MEDAL UPGRADE: Shilpa Shyla awarded bronze in Women's Shot Put F57

India's Shilpa Shyla has been upgraded to the bronze medal in the Women's Shot Put F57 after the Nigerian athlete's mark was revised to a foul, dropping her out of the medal positions.

Shilpa, who had originally finished fourth, now claims the bronze medal with a personal best throw of 7.26m, adding another medal to India's Para Athletics tally.

02:45am | WEIGHTLIFTING – Silver for Ajaya Babu after thrilling finish

India's Ajaya Babu claimed the silver medal in the men's 79kg category with a total lift of 330kg (149kg snatch + 181kg clean & jerk).

Ajaya led after the snatch with a Commonwealth Games record of 149kg, but Malaysia's Erry Hidayat Muhammad produced a stunning final clean & jerk of 184kg, setting a new Commonwealth Games record and finishing with 331kg overall to snatch the gold by the narrowest possible margin—just 1kg.

England's Chris Murray completed the podium with the bronze medal.

02:30am | Men's 110m Hurdles – Tejas Shirse finishes eighth in the final

India's Tejas Shirse endured a disappointing finish in the men's 110m hurdles final, placing eighth with a time of 15.39 seconds.

Shirse appeared to be struggling with an injury during the race and was unable to challenge the field, bringing his Commonwealth Games campaign to a difficult end.

02:25am | MEDAL ALERT: Sharmila creates history with Para Athletics gold

India's Sharmila has scripted history by winning the gold medal in the women's shot put F57 event.

With her winning throw of 8.19m on the opening attempt, Sharmila ended India's 20-year wait for a Para Athletics medal at the Commonwealth Games. She also became India's first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medallist in Para Athletics and the first Indian woman to win a Para Athletics medal at the Games.

Nigeria's Eucharia Iyiazi, who looked like a strong challenger, managed just one valid throw before registering five consecutive fouls, eventually settling for the bronze medal.

02:20am | Men's High Jump – Sarvesh Kushare claims silver for India

Sarvesh Kushare has won the silver medal in the men's high jump at the Commonwealth Games.

Both Sarvesh and Jamaica's Beckford were unable to clear 2.28m. The gold medal was decided on countback, with Beckford taking the title after clearing 2.25m on his first attempt, while Sarvesh needed three attempts at the same height.

It is a superb silver medal for the Indian national record holder, adding another podium finish to India's athletics campaign.

02:15am | Men's High Jump Final – Sarvesh Kushare assures India of a medal

India's Sarvesh Kushare kept his medal hopes alive with a brilliant clearance of 2.25m on his third and final attempt, guaranteeing India a place on the podium. Jamaica's Raymond Richards was eliminated after failing to clear the height in three attempts, finishing fourth.

The bar has now been raised to 2.28m. England's Kimani Jack, who skipped 2.25m after an unsuccessful attempt, failed on his first try at the new height. Jamaica's Beckford also could not clear 2.28m on his opening attempt, while Sarvesh was unsuccessful on his first effort and will need to respond to stay in contention for gold.

01:55am | Swimming – Sajan Prakash finishes eighth in 200m butterfly final

India's Sajan Prakash finished eighth in the men's 200m butterfly final, clocking 1:58.05 to conclude his campaign in the event.

01:50am | Weightlifting – Ajaya Babu sets new Commonwealth Games snatch record

India's Ajaya Babu produced a sensational comeback to set a new Commonwealth Games snatch record, lifting 149kg on his third and final attempt.

Ajaya had opened successfully with 145kg, but failed at 149kg on his second lift after losing balance while trying to stabilise the weight overhead. He made no mistake on his final attempt, rewriting the Games record and moving into first place after the snatch heading into the clean and jerk.

01:45am | Boxing – Sumit Kundu bows out after split-decision defeat

India's Sumit Kundu suffered a heartbreaking exit in the men's 70kg Round of 16, losing to Northern Ireland's Jon McConnell via a split decision.

The contest was incredibly close, with four of the five judges scoring the bout level, while the fifth had Sumit ahead. Despite receiving a point deduction in the opening round, McConnell did enough across the final two rounds to edge the verdict and progress to the quarter-finals.

01:25am | Swimming – Aryan Nehra finishes seventh in 800m freestyle

India's Aryan Nehra placed seventh in the men's 800m freestyle final, clocking 8:07.26.

Australia dominated the event, with Sam Short winning gold in 7:39.81, Benjamin Goedemans taking silver in 7:46.49, and Matthew Galea claiming bronze in 7:47.10, completing an all-Australian podium.

01:20am | Men's High Jump Final – Indians clear 2.10m with ease

India's Aadarsh Ram made an impressive start to his campaign, clearing 2.10m on his very first attempt to move into the group of early leaders.

Fellow Indian Sarvesh Kushare also looked comfortable, sailing over 2.10m with his first jump to stay firmly in contention.

Meanwhile, four athletes exited the competition. Sri Lanka's Tharindu Dasun Samaraweera finished with No Mark after failing to clear 2.05m, while Kenya's Kemboi Asbel Kiprop, Anguilla's J'Quan Samuels, and Mauritius' Dezardin Prosper were also eliminated after three unsuccessful attempts at the same height.

01:15am | 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball – Indian women bow out after group stage

India's women's 3x3 wheelchair basketball team suffered a narrow 7-6 defeat to Nigeria in their final Pool B fixture, ending the group stage without a win.

The result sees India finish bottom of Pool B, bringing their Commonwealth Games campaign to an end as they miss out on a place in the knockout stage.

01:00am | Athletics – Tejaswin Shankar forced to withdraw

India's Tejaswin Shankar has withdrawn from the men's high jump final after appearing to suffer a knee injury. The Birmingham 2022 bronze medallist was unable to clear 2.05m on his opening attempt before informing officials that he could not continue.

With Tejaswin also scheduled to compete in the decathlon, Indian fans will be hoping the injury is not serious and that he recovers in time. Meanwhile, Sarvesh Kushare finally entered the competition after more than an hour and made an assured start, clearing 2.05m on his first attempt.

00:40am | Men's High Jump Final – Competition moves to 2.05m

The bar has now been raised to 2.05m, with most of the field still in contention. A few athletes are only just beginning their campaigns.

Australia's Yual Reath made a confident start, clearing 2.05m on his very first attempt. Sri Lanka's Tharindu Dasun Samaraweera, however, suffered a setback as he cramped up midway through his run-up on his opening attempt, leaving him with work to do early in the competition.

00:15am | Para Swimming – Swatik Patil finishes fifth

India's Swatik Patil delivered a strong performance to finish fifth in the men's 100m breaststroke SB9 final, clocking 1:15.82.

Australia's Beau Matthews claimed gold in 1:09.41, Joshua Willmer of New Zealand took silver with 1:11.44, while Australia's Timothy Hodge secured bronze in 1:12.74.

11:30pm | Athletics – Tejaswin Shankar withdraws from High Jump final

India's Tejaswin Shankar will not compete in the men's high jump final at the Commonwealth Games. The official start list has been updated with a DNS (Did Not Start) against the bronze medallist from the previous edition.

11:10pm | Lawn Bowls – Putul Sonowal's campaign comes to an end

Putul Sonowal bowed out of the men's singles after a 1.5-0.5 defeat to Anwar Hamada of Kenya.

Putul lost the opening set 8-6 despite leading 4-3 after four ends. The second set remained evenly poised throughout, with Putul recovering from a 4-3 deficit to lead 5-4 after the sixth end. However, Hamada claimed the final end to level the set 5-5, denying India the tie-break and sealing the match.

Putul finishes his Commonwealth Games campaign fifth in the group with two wins and three losses.

10:45pm | Boxing – Sakshi storms into the quarterfinals

India's Sakshi Chaudhary produced a clinical display to defeat Lethabo Modukanele of Botswana by unanimous decision, securing her place in the women's 51kg quarterfinals.

The three-time age-group world champion controlled the contest from the outset, taking the opening round on all five judges' scorecards with crisp straight punches and sharp footwork. She maintained that dominance in the second round with a series of clean combinations to extend her lead.

10:05pm | Weightlifting – Bronze for Bindyarani, Lawal defends title

Bindyarani Devi clinched the bronze medal, while Nigeria's Rafiatu Lawal successfully defended her Commonwealth Games title in dominant fashion.

Lawal produced a flawless clean & jerk series of 117kg, 122kg and 126kg, finishing with a combined total of 229kg to win gold by 14kg. Her performance also saw her set Games Records in the snatch, clean & jerk and total,

9:15pm | Weightlifting – Lawal sets the pace after snatch

Nigeria's Rafiatu Lawal dominated the snatch, clearing 95kg, 100kg, and a Commonwealth Record 103kg to take a commanding lead. Canada's Ann Sophie Taschereau sits second with 94kg, while India's Bindyarani Devi is third after a best lift of 87kg.

Attention now turns to the clean & jerk, where Bindyarani is set to open with 113kg.

8:50pm | Weightlifting – Bindyarani impresses in the snatch

Bindyarani Devi opened her campaign with a comfortable 83kg lift before successfully clearing 85kg on her second attempt to briefly move into the lead.

Australia's Ashley Kolomoisky and England's Eliza Pratt both reached 84kg, with Pratt then raising the bar to 87kg on her final snatch. Bindyarani responded in style, making 87kg look comfortable on her last attempt to stay right in contention heading into the clean & jerk.

7:20pm | Weightlifting – Silver for Gyaneshwari Yadav

Gyaneshwari Yadav claimed silver in the women's 53kg event with a combined lift of 199kg. She set a Games Record in the clean & jerk with 107kg before finishing with 111kg, but Onome Omolola Didih of Nigeria responded with 113kg to seal gold and rewrite both the Commonwealth and Games Records, finishing with 206kg. Groulx took bronze with 178kg.

6:50pm | Artistic Gymnastics – Protistha misses out on a medal

Protistha Samanta has completed her campaign in the women's vault final. With an average score of 12.883, along with a 0.2 bonus, the Indian gymnast is set to finish outside the medal positions.

6:30pm | Weightlifting – Games and Commonwealth records fall in Women's 53kg

The records kept coming in the women's 53kg competition. Gyaneshwari Yadav first matched Onome Omolola Didih's Commonwealth Games record with an 85kg snatch before effortlessly lifting 88kg to set a new Games Record.

The Nigerian, however, responded immediately, clearing 90kg and then 93kg to establish a new Commonwealth Record. Gyaneshwari now trails by 5kg heading into the clean and jerk phase.

6:25pm | Boxing – Ankush storms into the quarterfinals

A dominant performance from Ankush, who outclassed Zalaan Jan of Antigua and Barbuda from start to finish. After taking control early, the Indian maintained the pressure with accurate combinations and never allowed his opponent back into the contest. Despite a brief warning for holding and a short response from Jan along the ropes, Ankush remained firmly in command, sealing a unanimous 5-0 victory to advance to the quarterfinals.

5:10pm | Athletics – Sreeshankar and Lokesh qualify for Long Jump final

Both Murali Sreeshankar and Lokesh Sathyanathan have booked their places in the men's long jump final on Wednesday. Sreeshankar finished third overall in qualifying with a best leap of 8.01m, while Lokesh progressed in seventh with 7.77m.

Australia's Liam Adcock Gayle topped the qualification round with 8.10m, followed by Ryan at 8.04m. The final promises to be closely contested, with all 12 qualifiers advancing to the medal round.

5:00pm | Boxing – Sachin Siwach advances

India's Sachin Siwach overcame England's William Hewitt with a composed display in the men's 60kg Round of 16. After edging the opening two rounds on four of the five judges' scorecards despite a one-point deduction, Sachin closed out the bout confidently to secure his place in the quarterfinals.

He will next face Treasure Moremi of Botswana.

4:34pm | Lokesh Jumps 7.77 to top Group B

What a start this is by Lokesh, as he goes 7.77 to be in the top 4 overall, in the list which is led by Sreeshankar Murali in the men's long jump qualifying. We are chasing 8m or the top 12.

4:10pm | A costly finish for Gurindervir Singh.

India's national record holder clocked 10.39s to finish second in Heat 4, but missed out on a place in the Commonwealth Games semifinals after easing up over the final few metres.

With only the 17 fastest athletes progressing, the final qualifying time was 10.24s, set by Kuron Griffith (Barbados). Gurindervir eventually finished outside the qualification places, around 20th overall, ending his campaign in the heats. It's a disappointing result for the Indian sprinter, who arrived in Glasgow after setting the national record at 10.09s and had genuine hopes of pushing even closer to the elusive sub-10-second barrier.

4:00pm | Athletics – Tejas Shirse books place in Men's 110m Hurdles Final

Tejas Shirse is through to the Commonwealth Games final! After a slightly slow start, the Indian hurdler produced a strong finish to surge into third place, sealing his spot in the medal race.

Samuel Bennett (England) won the heat in 13.20s, followed by Jerome Campbell (Jamaica) in 13.33s, while Tejas Shirse clocked 13.76s to qualify. The Indian national record holder owns a personal best of 13.27s, and he'll be aiming to get close to that mark when he returns for the men's 110m hurdles final at 2:15 AM IST.

3:40pm | Athletics – Gurindervir Singh's campaign ends in the heats

It wasn't to be for Gurindervir Singh in the men's 100m. The Indian national record holder clocked 10.39s, falling short of a place in the semifinals. With only the 17 fastest athletes from the 11 heats advancing, Gurindervir finished 28th overall among 73 sprinters. The final qualifying mark stood at 10.24s. Having consistently produced faster times in the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games and aiming to break the 10-second barrier, the result comes as a disappointing end to his campaign.

3:15pm | Swimming – Sajan Prakash qualifies for Men's 200m Butterfly Final

A strong swim from Sajan Prakash sees the Indian book his place in the Men's 200m Butterfly final.

Sajan finished 6th overall in the heats with a time of 1:58.59, comfortably securing qualification. Australia's Harrison Turner topped the heats in 1:56.47, followed by Lewis Clareburt (New Zealand) in 1:57.35.

Sajan will now return for the final, where India will be in medal contention.

3:10pm | Sajan Prakash in action now in Heat 2

200m Butterfly: he needs to be in the top 3; he leads currently after 100m. Sajan finished 2nd in heat 2 with a time of 1:58.59 and has qualified for the Finals

3:02pm | Sreeshankar 1 and Done

He was the first one and with a legal jump he takes a mark of 8.01 m.

3:00pm | 10.39 for Gurindervir Singh

He is currently placed 9th; it will be very difficult to make the semis

2:59pm | Athletics – Men's 100m Heats

The men's 100m heats are underway, with 17 athletes advancing to the semifinals alongside the seven automatic qualifiers. India's national record holder Gurindervir Singh is drawn in Heat 4. 

Cut-off taking shape
The pace has been quick through the opening heats. Abdul Rasheed Saminu (Ghana) stormed to 10.01s to win Heat 2 and seal his semifinal place, while Jermaiah Azu (Wales) claimed Heat 3 in 10.10s.

What Gurindervir needs
Based on the times so far, a run in the region of 10.20–10.25s could be enough to make the list of the 17 fastest qualifiers. Gurindervir is up next.

2:58pm | Athletics – Gurindervir Singh in Men's 100m Heats

Wet conditions have made the track tricky, with steady rain affecting grip underfoot. Even so, Gurindervir Singh will likely need one of the fastest runs of his career to secure a semifinal spot. The Indian sprinter is set to compete in Heat 4.

2:45pm | Athletics – Gurindervir Singh in Men's 100m Heats

The men's 100m begins with 11 heats, from which the 17 fastest athletes (q) will progress to tomorrow's semifinals. With seven athletes already receiving byes, there are no automatic qualifiers from each heat advancement is based purely on the fastest times.

In Heat 1, Favour Ashe (Nigeria) set the early benchmark with 10.10s, while Meshack Babu (Kenya) finished second in 10.21s.
