Swimming – Srihari Nataraj qualifies for men's 100m backstroke semifinals
India's Srihari Nataraj booked his place in the men's 100m backstroke semifinals, finishing 13th overall in the heats with a time of 55.58 seconds.
England's Oliver Morgan topped the qualifying standings in 53.65s, while Srihari safely advanced as one of the fastest swimmers into the semifinal.

Athletics – Rajesh Ramesh and Vishal TK begin men's 400m campaign
India will have two athletes in action in the men's 400m heats, with Rajesh Ramesh set to compete in Heat 3 and Vishal TK lining up in Heat 6.
The pair head into the event with strong qualification hopes. Based on the season's best timings, Vishal is the sixth-fastest entrant in the heats, while Rajesh is joint 12th. With 16 athletes advancing to the semifinals across the six heats (excluding the eight athletes who received byes), both Indians will be aiming to secure their place in the next round.

Right then, we have two Indian runners in the 400m heats; remember, the 16 fastest (q) from the heats advance to the semi-finals. Rajesh goes in the Heat 3 while NR holder Vishal TK is in last heat6.

Swimming – Sajan Prakash misses out on 50m Butterfly semifinals
India's Sajan Prakash finished last in his heat of the men's 50m butterfly, clocking 24.94 seconds from the outside lane.
The effort was not enough to secure a place in the semifinals, with only the 16 fastest swimmers advancing. A time of 24.25 seconds or quicker was required to qualify.
